Anne & Mark sing the National Anthem for the 43rd annual Special Olympics

We have been given the honor of singing the National Anthem for the opening ceremonies of the Special Olympics 43rd Annual Spring Games at Soldier Field Tuesday May 3, at 10am. We couldn't be more excited to share our arrangement with all these phenomenal athletes and coaches!!

Anne will be interviewed tonight by WJJG radio host Kevin Moore on stage after Studs Terkel's "WORKING". WORKING is now running at the Broadway Playhouse, 7:30 pm show. (This will be fun as Father Pat Lee, the priest who is also being interviewed, married us, and he IS a local hero.)

Mark returns to teach at Yale Cabaret Conference

Anne & Mark Burnell collaborated with percussionist Joe Sonnefeldt on their shows, "Broadway a`la Jazz", and "Make Your Own Kind of Music: The Brill Building Sound" at the Skokie Theatre. Sonnefeldt played in The Addams Family, Wicked, Lion King, and Hairspray and also with Poi Dog Pondering. The new trio with percussion has a sparse sound with clear vocal harmonies, and a relaxed groove. The rehearsal You Tube videos are up.

Our Kevin Moore presents Score by Score: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber is SOLD OUT April 7 at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in Arlington Heights. This show will also be coming to Moraine Valley Fine & Performing Arts Center on October 2, 2010. Last year's show sold out there, and a matinee was added.

Thier new show "Make Your Own Kind of Music: The Brill Building Sound" was SOLD OUT last week at Maxim's. The songs of Carole King, Burt Bacharach, Neil Sedaka and many more 60's hits from that famed building in New York. Anne & Mark collaborated with LA writer Steve Anders to create an evening of non-stop entertainment.
